Implementation:
Open a chat with a contact.
Tap on the contact's name at the top of the chat.
Tap "Labels" and choose an existing label or create a new one.
You can then view all chats associated with a specific label from the "Labels" section in your Business tools.
Messaging: When you want to send a message to a segment, you can create a Broadcast List (limited to 256 contacts) and manually add contacts from a specific label. Remember, a Broadcast List message will only be received by contacts who have saved your number in their own phone's contacts.
Benefits: Simple to use, helps whatsapp number list organize your chats, better than no segmentation at all.
Limitations: Manual, time-consuming for large lists, Broadcast Lists are limited, no automation, no integration with other systems.
Manual Notes/Categorization (Less Efficient):

You can also add notes to individual contact profiles within your phone's address book, or maintain a separate spreadsheet for basic categorization, but this is highly inefficient.
2. Segmentation with WhatsApp Business API (Advanced & Automated)
This is where true, scalable segmentation becomes possible. The WhatsApp Business API, typically used via a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP) or a direct integration with your CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, allows for sophisticated segmentation.

Here are common ways to segment your WhatsApp numbers using the API:

Group customers based on basic characteristics.

Data Points: Age, gender, location (City, District, e.g., Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet), language.
