Valencia has hosted the first edition of the ambitious Go Global Congress . A two-day event completely dedicated to internationalisation, in which practically all aspects related to the global company have been covered, from the cumbersome issue of INCOTERMS to the latest trends in International Digital Marketing. A congress, by the way, where CONNEXT had its small contribution through the talk: How to get more contacts through international Inbound Marketing .

Organised by the Generalitat through Ivace Internacional, ICEX Spain, Exportation and Investments and the Chambers of Commerce of the Valencian Community, it was held at the Feria Valencia events centre. The delegates of the IVACE foreign network met there, with whom companies were able to get a feel for different international markets and learn first-hand how current issues such as BREXIT will affect the way we do business.

More than 100 speakers
But contact with international agents has not been the main excuse that the almost thousand companies that have visited the event these days have found. The main event has been the 56 seminars and the fifty or so presentations that have reviewed practically all aspects of internationalisation: from logistical issues to aspects related to branding b2b email lists poland and the brand.

In fact, the brand and its importance for internationalisation was one of the round tables with the best reception at the congress. Moderated by Bernardo Abril, director of the Observatory of Valencian Brands in which our colleagues from the Mediterranean Marketing Club collaborate , the event included the participation of marketing managers from some of the Valencian brands with the greatest international projection such as FERMAX, IVI, Cárnicas Serrano or MyWigo. Their main conclusion was that a strong and consolidated brand in the national territory is an important help when embarking on an international process but, in reality, the brand must be remade to the average of each country since no two markets are the same.

The value of innovation
Curiously, this was a similar conclusion to that reached by the members of another panel that aroused growing interest: the one that explained the case, in first person, of some of the Valencian start-ups that have obtained the best performance from their international strategy. Organized by InnDEA , the local foundation for the support of innovation, it included among other speakers Fernando Marzal, CEO of Mobincube and well-known to this house . Fernando insisted on the importance of innovating constantly and realistically to achieve not only international projection but also the growth potential that every start-up needs to become a successful project.

In addition to them, there were also some very well-known international figures such as Peter Vesterbacka, co-founder of Angry Birds , or the creative director of HawkersCo, David Moreno .
